Usually not. Clear-ice modules make ice slowly by design, and a hot room, a scaled cutter grid or a tired water valve all cut output further. Scale and filters come first; the sealed system is a distant last.
The cubes are hollow, cloudy and collapse in a glass. What causes that?
Hollow or cloudy cubes point at the water side, not the cold side: low fill, a partly blocked inlet screen, an exhausted filter, or hard water furring the mould. Los Angeles water is hard enough that filters matter more here than the manual suggests.
